Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor wind noise performance via objective measurements, subjective drives, and static assessments.
- Identify deviations from target performance and conduct initial root cause investigations.
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure build conformance to assembly processes.
- Drive issue resolution with relevant departments (engineering, production, quality).
- Liaise with the core aeroacoustics team to understand future product launches and critical wind noise characteristics.
- Support ongoing quality improvements for current production vehicles.
- Travel across multiple UK sites as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in an automotive production plant quality role.
- Strong problem-solving skills (Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
- Ability to subjectively assess vehicle attributes (full UK driving licence required).
- Familiarity with plant attributes (Wind Noise, S&R, Water Testing) or NVH development & measurement.
- Experience in vehicle testing, assessment, or automotive component development.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of aeroacoustics or wind noise performance testing.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering and production teams.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple UK sites.
